It does what you need when it comes to laying out/nesting images on a sheet, my favourite tool is where I can layout a multipage page pdf and lay them out perfectly spaced on what ever sheet size I create. You can pay a-lot more money for something that does the same thing as this, I've not totally explored everything it can do, but so far I'm loving it.

Eine wirklich ganz tolle App! Allerdings wäre ein Plugin für z.B. Affinity Photo Lightroom usw. toll. Ebenso begrüssenswert wäre eine Übersetzung der App in Deutsch!

Preciso e affidabile, ricco di funzioni utili come: Nesting, margini, imposizione per elementi bifacciali o espansione di PDF per citarne alcune. Avevo la necessità di creare delle abbondanze rapidamente ed ora con l'ultimo aggiornamento è semplicissimo, che io sappia nessun programma di grafica ha questa funzione. Spero che continui a svilupparsi nel tempo. Complimenti Consigliatissimo.

Fa quello che dice in modo semplice e veloce. Lo uso per stampare su plotter PDF centrando il disegno in base alle mie esigenze: piegatrice Butterfly della GERA.
Ottimo programma per la gestione delle stampe senza andare prodotti professionali inutilmente costosi.

As a FitPlot user from version 2 in 2009 through the present version 7.0.3, I've found the application to be invaluable for quickly sizing and positioning various pdf and/or other graphical elements on a page.
Excellent program that's quick and convenient.

Ich verwende FitPlot mit einem Epson SC-P7000. Es arbeitet genau und wie es soll, erkennt die Dateiformate die ich brauche, ist einfach zu bedienen und preiswert. Als Plugin aus Fotobearbeitungsprogrammen wäre es nett (Affinity Photo, On One, Photoshop - um nur einige zu nennen).

Confermo la validità di questo software, davvero pratico e con ottime intuizioni e confermo anche la generosa disponibilità dello sviluppatore Paolo Marcuccetti nel cercare di risolvere eventuali esigenze particolari.

Risolto egregiamente il problema riscontrato ieri, in un solo giorno dal “papà” di FITPLOT.
Il problema era dovuto alla gestione di alcuni driver di stampa di terze parti da parte di Mojave. Ovviamente il nuovo sistema operativo è ancora giovane, e qualche produttore di stampanti e/o plotter dovrà aggiornare i propri driver.

Merita a pieno titolo tutte e 5 le stelle, e l’assistenza è davvero fenomenale.

This is amazing for the price. Most imposition software costs hundreds of dollars and the sme is true of nesting software. This app does both for £15.00. It is simple but powerful. I am using it to impose pages for a sheet fed digital press with a Fiery RIP and, so far, it has worker well for a fraction of the cost of EFI’s software or that supplied by the other big boys in the industry.
Also, when I had a small issue (my stupidity) Paolo, the developer, responded really quickly, even though it was outside business hours, with a step by step guide for what I should be doing, which worked perfectly.
I have been in the print business for 30 years and it’s rare that I feel compelled to shout from the rooftops how good a piece of software is but this is one of those occassions. If your imposition needs are straightforward (actually they can be quite complicated) I can’t recommend this software enough. Thank you Paolo.

I’ve been using fitplot regularly for the last year, and continue to be surprised in a positive way. Tonight, I reached out to the author, as I was working on a proof sheet of 180 images, that I wanted ordered in a specific way. While I couldn’t find a button, or toggle, sure enough it was there. Paolo responded to my question within an hour of asking it; with a fully explanation, and even a screen shot of what I should click. Very impressive. Yes, there is a learning curve. The great part is that what you learn, just makes it better and better.

This is a a piece of software which while in development is extremely useful if you want to do things like print a pdf that is 2 landscape pages side by side, and needs to be split to A4 (letter)… likewise it is great for throw a bunch of images on canvas and having them basically organised. That’s a lot to get your head around… from N-up to multi-image contact sheet. It can do it. You might want to also get VipRiser, and you have a super powerful toolkit. The number of use cases is astounding. The only challenge is that someone should help the author on the documentation, as the learning curve might seem a bit steep. Very happy! And hope that it continues growing :)

This software is a great and reliable helper! The name is misleading, this is not only for plotting, but for any creation of printable documents. I make books, often with 16 or 32 pages on one printer sheet (recto/verso). The app does all I need, even including such subtle features as „creep“ (positioning the pages in order to compensate the thickness of the paper when folding). You can create booklets out of simple folio sheets, 2 pages on the front, to on the back (saddle stitch), but also complex sheets that are folded and cut several times. Before I got it, I often did my imposition by hand, because I did not want to buy the Adobe suite. I am glad I found this app, saves a lot of work. Never crashed, even with big files. Support is also great, they helped me when I was at loss with a special task. Full marks...

This is a great price for a piece of software like this, but there’s definitely room for improvment. Nesting controls could be improved to be more user friendly. A simple pulldown for Fewer cuts / Less paper, etc, would be great instead of a pop out menu with a whole ton of text about algorithms, etc. It also doesn’t seem to automatically import the margin sizes from my paper presets, so those need to be set manually. It feels like the guts of the program are well in place, but that it just needs to be streamlined. sdfa.

Thank you, I appreciate your critics. You gave me a good idea to simplify the nesting feature. About the margins, the first time you run FitPlot you have to set it manually (I'll change this to get automatically margins of the default printer in a future release), but after that, each new document takes the margins of the last used document. Of course if you make a new document from a template (where you can store margins, size's ranges etc.) the template's margin settings comes first.

Excelente app, para impresiones multiples o individuales. Optimiza el papel anidando y rotando automatica o manualmente los elementos a imprimir. El calculo de gastos de impresión, tanto de papel como tinta es muy util para saber a cuanto exactamente sale el coste de cada impresion. Tiene muchas funciones practicas, faciles de usar y muy intuitivas. Un precio mas que razonable (para uso profesional se amortiza muy rápido) y un servicio de atencion al cliente muy dedicado y eficaz. Sin duda recomendable si tienes impresoras de gran formato.

En tant que professionnel en tirage photo. Le rapport prix/qualité/fonctions est imbattable. Tous mes besoins sont dans cette application, pour optimiser mes tirages. Il manquerai juste une petite traduction en français. Peut-être pour une future mise à jour.

Very good app! It has saved me tons of time in the last year or so I’ve been using it. For some returning jobs I have a template and within a minute I am printing large or small, (with or without template). And any question I have is promply solved by the programmer.

Simply put, nothing else does what FitPlot does, at any price. Even high end professional software spreads this functionality over a number of apps and charges a very great deal more. It has become such a ‘GoTo' app for us that it is now included free with all wide format printer sales (for OSX customers only, naturally).

Here’s an example…

Take a large design formatted for multiple A4 pages and sent to a customer as a single PDF file. Time to layout 31 pages, group logical blocks of the design and re-arrange for optimal paper usage? The customer had given up after several hours, but with FitPlot, the job was ready to print on A0 paper within 10 minutes once the developer, Paolo, showed me how in a free one-on-one help session and it now takes me about 5 minutes end to end.

Money in the bank, my friends.

I think this is an affordable alternate to Imposition Studio. It lacks just right to left books support.

anche io plotter da 42 a 12 colori, provata la demo sono corso ad acquistarla, molto meglio di un programma simile per pc fornito col plotter (a pagamento!) importa anche i psd. colori e risoluzione molto buoni

Un tavolo di montaggio digitale ricco di funzioni che fanno risparmiare tempo e denaro, vale molto di più del prezzo offerto già altamente competitivo. Interfaccia essenziale e funzionale. Strumento indispensabile a tutti gli utilizzatori di plotter.

I love this program. I have aHP DesignJet 500 and this program allows me to print anything and size. Brilliant. Just wish the price was lower.

toujours une application utile et pratique, pour l'amalgame (nesting) et une impression contrôlé (avec gestion ICC), une disponibilité du développeur pour répondre aux questions…bref toujours mon appli préféré pour imprimer !
